A superb large mahogany chest of drawers dating from the early 1800s. It offers two short drawers over four graduated drawers, all running smoothly and providing excellent storage. The chest retains its original handles and features attractive satinwood‑inlaid escutcheons.

With its rich colour, classic proportions, and charming country‑house aesthetic, this is a standout antique.

Inside, fragments of newspaper lining from 1824 survive—an evocative reminder of the piece’s long life and history.
