Rare Vintage Riva Teak Ply Waste Paper Bin, Storage Basket Mid Century. MCM

A rare mid‑century teak ply waste paper bin originating from the iconic Riva boat factory in Brescia, Italy — a name synonymous with luxury craftsmanship and timeless Italian design.

This charming piece was originally used in the Riva offices, carrying with it the quiet, everyday history of one of Italy’s most celebrated boat manufacturers. The teak ply has matured beautifully, showing that warm mid‑century tone and gentle wear that collectors love. Its proportions are elegant, its construction unmistakably utilitarian‑modern, and its provenance gives it real desirability.

Sourced directly by us from Northern Italy, it’s a perfect addition for Riva collectors, mid‑century enthusiasts, or anyone wanting a subtle but characterful design accent in an office or studio space. Functional, sculptural, and steeped in heritage.
